Information Research Communications (IRC) operates with a rigorous double-blind peer review process, closely overseen by our dedicated editorial team. Before a manuscript enters the formal review process, our editors conduct an initial assessment to evaluate its quality and suitability for publication. Manuscripts that do not meet our scientific standards will not progress to the peer review stage.
Authors submitting their work to IRC are expected to carefully follow our instructions for authors. Additionally, authors should clearly indicate the specific category under which they intend to publish, especially if it deviates from a typical research article format. Our editors also assess the readability and grammatical quality of submissions and may request revisions if papers do not meet our publication standards in these areas.
Upon submission, our editors select expert referees who evaluate the scientific merit and appeal of the manuscript to our broad readership in the field of Information sciences. We maintain regular communication with our referees, providing them with periodic reminders to ensure timely reviews. Once all reviews are received, the assigned Editor typically reaches a decision within a day or two and promptly informs the corresponding author of the outcome.
Authors have the opportunity to respond to reviewer comments and may differ with these comments provided they provide a rational explanation for their stance. Such author responses are carefully examined by the Editor and may be shared with the respective referees for further consideration. However, any offensive remarks regarding reviewer comments will result in the cancellation of publication.
After the peer review process is completed, our editorial team conducts a final assessment before making a recommendation regarding publication in the journal.
We strive to complete the entire review process within three months from the date of manuscript submission, with an average time of approximately 30 days for the first decision to inform authors of the status of their article.
All aspects of the manuscript submission and review process at IRC are conducted digitally and online. Authors are required to use our online submission system for manuscript submissions. In cases where online submission is not feasible, authors may contact the editor via email for assistance.
IRC is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific rigor and integrity in the publication of impactful research in the field of Information sciences.
